An Indian Father's Plea
In this article we see that Wind-Wolf comes from a different kind of background from his classmates, he is a unique kid that has learned to embrace his Native American culture. But when he is faced with dealing with two different worlds he becomes ashamed of his culture, due to the reaction of his class mates and teachers; who view him as "slow". Lisa Delpit's discusses the "power of culture" between white people and black people, due to what you look like you are judged with out knowing where there coming from. Clearly, Wind-Wolf is a smart kid but because he has been taught different from his peers he is judged.
